finding out how an oversized piano/violin plays
readability of the instruments during the light and music show
shortly before the start of UEFA EURO 2024, Frankfurt, one of the ten host cities, got in the mood for the four-week football festival with a multimedia show production. in collaboration with Atelier Markgraph on behalf of Tourismus+Congress GmbH (TCF) Frankfurt, we transformed the Flößerbrücke over the River Main, which was draped in the colors of the 24 participating nations for the duration of the EURO, into a gigantic musical instrument for around 25 minutes.
starting point of the concept was the colored fields based on the EURO 2024 logo and attached to the bridge, which we wanted to extend upwards and downwards with the help of light and ‚play‘ like a piano or violin in time with the music. the reflections on the water also expanded the playing area.
