This show was created to serve as a presentation of the new Roewe RX5 Max to the press and audience. The conference was held in August 2019 in Suzhou, China. The main idea of the show was to put a car on a robot arm, which reacted to realtime content in the background. In this way we created an optical illusion and let the viewer believe that it was the car and not the content which was moving in high speed.
The visual design of this project was created to show the product features of the new vehicle, taking the viewer on a visual journey in a playful, yet modern setup. Due to the extensive possibilities offered by the robotic arm, we were able to change the perspective the viewer had on the car during the show. This allowed us more creative freedom as well as a chance to present the new product in total.
The basis for our animation and realtime background content was the position and movement data of the robotic arm.
